Aloha-
For all my friends going to Made In America, I'm so jealous. Have so much fun for me (Sean, remember you promised to send pictures to the group! I'm looking forward to them so don't forget)! I have been talking about M.I.A since I heard about it, and was so serious about getting tickets...and then I moved to Maui. Life is rough, maaaaan.
Quick story. My friend Sam is visiting California and we made a promise (aka I told/begged/asked/got him to/whatever lol) to wave at the Pacific so that we could wave at each other. Love Sam to pieces...one of my most valued male friends. Always there, always will be. Anyways, he InstaGramed a picture of the wave and literally I asked my boss to drive me down to the beach so I could wave at the ocean. LOVE YA BERG, SEE YA IN THE HAMPTONS NEXT SUMMER. Anyways, here's my wave back. Sylvia kept saying, "Okay Molly, look here....now WAVE!" ahhahah.
I put a different one on IG, but this is the one I actually sent Sam cause I was honest to goodness waving at the ocean. Oh wassup, its ya girl didn't give a crap about her hair. Curly friends, help! My hair is not cooperating AT ALL.
Oh, Sam just texted me now: "Say I wont swim to Hawaii right now. SAY IT".
Renee's senior soccer season starts today at William Smith so I thought I would do a little cheer because she hates the fact that I post EVERYTHING I find about her. It's not my fault you're incredible, lil bug. I MEAN YOU'VE ONLY BEEN TO TWO FINAL FOURS AND ARE AMAZING. Really, not my fault. Hi Eugene, miss you. TEXT ME.
...promise I was never a cheerleader. I just am that good at it. God given talent.
After the beach, Sylvia had some errands to run in Pa'ia so we went into town for a bit. Hawaiian shaved ice is amazing and I saw a place so I literally ran to it. Ridiculous, I actually ran. They have this powder they use on a lot of things over here. It's called li hing mui and it is DELICIOUS. I had a margarita with it on the rim, I had a Hawaiian ice with it sprinkled on top AND I had a Hawaiian ice with it as a flavor (all on different days lol). Shoot, I would totally carry that in my purse...I'm not really a tabasco kind of girl. After that, I saw some guys playing jazz music. Met some cool old people and just kicked it until Sylvia came back from the super ridiculous (but delicious) organic food store that sells $9 peanut butter.
The man with the sax was killin' the entire game. Seriously, the entire set was amazing.
When we returned, Sylvia and I had a really awesome discussion at the chandelier dining table (yes, that is what I am calling it). We've have had a bunch of really thought provoking conversations since I've been here and frankly I really appreciate the company as well as the fact that she has a really cool perspective on things. She's really a different person than I'm used to and I like it a lot. Anyways, today we talked about conspiracy theories, the green movement and about Native American spirits...how's that for a Friday night!
Yes Tats- that's your clutch.
Wellll, its 8:30pm and PITCH BLACK OUTSIDE so my body thinks it is 3am and I will be asleep by 10pm. If any of you are up, text me and lets skype. I might be venturing to Lahaina tomorrow so maybe I'll have something good to tell you guys.
HAPPY SEPTEMBER!
With warmest aloha,
MJ
