Aloha sweet people-

Not too much to say. Went to Ka'anapali Beach again today. Found out it was rated "America's Best Beach in 2003"...pretty sweet.
Also, the super expensive peanut butter grocery store in Pa'ia called Mana Foods was rated best health food store in North America. I guess it's worth it. Food tastes better there, so I guess I can't complain anymore.

Quick story: Corine dropped me off at the beach because she was meeting friends for lunch and as Ka'anapali is an hour away, I wanted to go because I'm not sure how often I'll get over to that side of the island. I get to the beach lookin' crazy: Big hat, crop top, miniminiminiMINI shorts and my beach bag while its blowing crazy wind so my hat is flying off every few feet leaving my mess of curly hair constantly blowing in my face as I attempt to SLAM it back onto my head. Why I didn't just take it off, I don't know. I love my big hat. ANYWAYS as I'm attempting to lay out my cloth/towel thing that wind is blowing everywhere but where I want it to be, I decide to use the snorkel flippers as pins and literally grab one in each hand and fall face down to the towel thing to hold it together. I seriously can't tell you why I do some of these things. It had to be done. Whatever. Satisfied with being able to put some sort of weight in every corner I get ready to sit down and some man is walking towards me. He's holding two ice things and goes "I brought one for you". I look at him and look around because OBVIOUSLY if anyone saw me just drop into a towel on the beach, they would not come bearing gifts. He was alone so I figured I'd make a friend and the ice pop was delicious. Something called Hibiscus Passionfruit. Anyways, we are new friends. He has a really cool full name but I'll leave that be and just say he's called Nakota. Total Hawaiian kind of guy. Long hair, super tan, board shorts and way chill. Anyways, really nice guy and turns out he lives in Haiku as well. Totally unexpected as we were both on the opposite side of the island. He works for one of the hotels and said that Corine and I could go to the luau there FOR FREE! I LOVE FREE! I am most definitely doing that. BOOM.

No, I am not in love. Yes, he is attractive. No, I am not interested. Just for all you guys thinking this blog is going to turn into a love saga...it won't.

Anyways, I made a real friend. This is exciting! Also, Clarissa moved into the main house today. She's new and awesome. We had a really deep discussion over my dinner of a chicken salad I made myself. I am officially one of those girls that eats salad for dinner. Fish for dinner yesterday and salad today? WHO AM I BECOMING?! I like it a lot though. Sarah come pick me up from the airport in December. I'm flying into Westchester. You may not recognize me. I expect a sign. I miss you so much. LOL go work out.

With warmest aloha,
MJ
