Aloha lovebugs,
Yesterday's pool party turned into a sleepover...LOL. Seriously, it did. Anyways, Clarissa and I went to her friends house in Maui Meadows which had the most spectacular view! I know I've said that about every view, but every single view still manages to take my breath away. Anyways, Nicole and Janus had oysters, gourmet cheeses (manchego, some sharp white cheddar, lamb something), olives, crackers and baguettes to start us out. Such hospitable hosts! We had some drinks and after hitting the BIGGEST BERNIE OF ALL TIME we had dinner. They went IN. Filet mignon, roasted potatoes, sauteed onions, toasty bread. Oh goodness. I'm hungry again. AND I HAD A REESES KLONDIKE BAR. What would you do for a Klondike bar? ;) I woke up feeling like a million dollars. Wait, a trillion. Shoot, I woke up feeling like the amount the government is in debt.
On our way! If you cut this picture into quarters in the exact center will be a tiny break in the clouds. That is some valley that they call "the needle". Clarissa said I should check it out. It's in the middle of the West Maui Mountains and all I know is that it is cool. Count me in.
Nicole and Janus' porch view
Indica! I am trying to befriend animals. Seriously, I am trying!
HAHAHA. My face. I'm not serious. But this is for Luci. I want to go to the gun range!!!! Tell Lance and Pete that we haaaave to go when I come back! Seriously. I'm going to work on not looking like a punk. You work on getting a date for us :)

Dinner! Obviously it was plated but I couldn't wait and it really really really was that delicious. I refuse to turn this picture the horizontal way. How lazy!
So we left at around 7am so that we could hit the beach before we got back to the Mill. We went back to the beach in Wailea and had a morning dip. Most refreshing way to start a day. Anyways, I'm off so I'm just kickin it in my room right now but Clarissa is working. I think I have to go to the Post Office to send my absentee ballot in and maybe I'll hit the beach before this Pacific Weddings cocktail party tonight. Get a little more golden brown, ya dig? This thing should be fun tonight. I feel like a humpback whale the amount of food I ate last night, but I am about to be a superchamp at this party. Can't stop me. I'm wearing my black strapless minidress, nude pumps, red lips and big curly hair. I'm pretty certain I'm going to look a little overdressed by "island standards", but ala I am from New York and so I will dress appropriately for a cocktail party. Maybe I'll find a suitor or "the Rock" as my friends seem to think that all the gentlemen look like the Rock over here. Apparently I will fall in love, never return, and end up living on the side of a volcano with children in 2033. One of my friends even told me he has a higher/lower on how soon it takes for me to be into someone. For all of you: it won't happen. And if it does, know that it won't be on my blog because my pride won't let you all win! ahahhaha. You know in retrospect, I actually couldn't give a damn if I am overdressed or not tonight. Dressing to kill because I know that I won't find another reason to wear pumps while I'm here!
Clarissa....and my shadow. Remember when I wasn't actually a photographer at all?
Good morning world. I look pretty awesome if I say so myself (LOOOOOL). If you ever wake up next to me this is what I will look like. Frizzy hair, squinty eyes, no makeup. Pretty au naturale. However, if you wake me up, I can guarantee you'll regret it.
Oh. I quit on my hair out here. I looove my curls but I can't find a single product that will work in this weather. So I've made an executive decision as to not get frustrated and decided that I am using nothing but conditioner-- it actually is working out pretty well and looks pretty good. It's not like anyone cares at all what you look like and there is no point trying to fix myself up when there is a 100% I will have sand in my hair by day's end anyways. I've also given up on foundation as I'm browner now and the color won't match. I think the only people who saw me like this on the regular were my teammates at 5:30 every morning in college. ahha guys [wsoc], THE NORMAL PEOPLE SEE THE REAL ME.
Probs will have something to post after this cocktail party. They most certainly will have ahi poke pupu's so maybe after a cocktail I can be a "big girl" and eat the raw fish without making a crazy face. I'll get back to ya on that one...
With warmest aloha,
MJ
