Aloha,

So far this has been a good day off.

This afternoon I went to Ho'okipa because there was a North Shore swell coming in. When Sylvia and I drove down to the beach, the entire water was littered with surfers, kitesurfers and windsurfers. It looked incredible and the waves were the biggest I've seen yet! I didn't hit the surf or anything, but I tanned out a bit and chilled out on the beach. Sylvia wanted to paddleboard from Ho'okipa to Kite Beach again and after looking at Google Earth I felt confident in my abilities to get her this time lol. Anyways, after Sylvia launched Sylvia (the housekeeper) showed up to hit the surf with some of her friends. I just kind of cooled it for an hour and then left to get Sylvia (my boss) from Kite Beach. This time I successfully made it and picked her up which is a HUGE success considering my last attempt.
 Ho'okipa!
 hiyo!
I don't know whats going on here. But it must be funny. Also, the shadows are creating the illusion of be being chubby. No bueno. IT'S NOT TRUE! Oh well, I don't care enough not to post it. Whatever.

Sylvia the housekeeper w her Kazuma. She's pretty sweet!
happy birthday from Maui, GIP.

 ;)

This guy is lifting his kite before he goes into the water at Kite Beach. I was watching him super intently just incase I make it out kitesurfing so I would know how to do it LOL.
All those little things in the sky are kites. You might have to click this to see it.
Found Sylvia!

Sylvia, Clarissa and I went to Milagros (this mexican restaurant in Pa'ia) for dinner today and went HAM. I only had a little cup of soup all day, but I've really seemed to have lost my appetite or my stomach is getting smaller. Either way, I ate a boatload of food this evening. I actually feel pretty horrible right now ahah. Hopefully I'll still make it up to Makawao to go salsa dancing. I asked this guy to pick me up so that we could go for an hour or so and see something different. Should be fun! The florist, Teresa, is going to be there as well as the landscaper, Elizabeth. It's kind of unfortunate that no one dresses up to go out around here. I love getting ready and dressed to go places, but if you dress up here you look extremely out of place. Even in wedges you look completely out of place. Good news: The editor-in-chief of Pacific Wedding Magazine is a good friend of Sylvia's and is having her annual party this week. I CAN FINALLY WEAR NICE SHOES AND A FANCY DRESS!

So hyped.

With warmest aloha,
MJ
