Aloha,

Today was wedding day! My second wedding while I've been here. It was only seven people so it was way intimate, but still super beautiful. Today was actually a pretty awesome day now that I think about it. I had a savory crepe for lunch and a nutella crepe after, saw the first North Shore swell of winter (literally 10-15 foot waves!!!!!!!), spoke to my favorite and only OG, and saw/helped execute a beautiful wedding at the Mill.

Bridal Bouquet! The bride had incorporated jewel tones and peacock feathers into her wedding.
Those are crystals dripping from every flower arrangement. So beautiful. Stephanie did the flowers for this wedding because it was so small and I think she did a phenomenal job! Best part: I have more flowers/roses for my bathroom. Jeez, am I the only one that LOVES roses?

Corine is getting sexy on us with that leg. AOW.
Mini Cakes for every guest! I want these at my wedding (whenever that is) with a real cake as well to cut. Tell me how this was my first time ever trying carrot cake. I live in a box.

The good looking chefs (lol, I'm serious) made this "carrot caviar". Reminded me of Chef Tyler and his "tomato caviar". How clever and what a cute little name.

SO COOL.
The waves were BOOMIN'. Seriously, I've never seen anything like that. Pray that Jaws goes off while I am here. I would literally die of excitement and fear for the surfers that go out there in the water. It's only a five minute drive from the Mill, but it's off some beaten road and only accessible by a 4 wheel drive. Sylvia's (housekeeper) boyfriend surfs Jaws every winter so if she really is offering to teach me how to surf, I am most certainly going to take it. CHECK ME OUT ON THE WATER.

Anyways, last night. It was my first REAL night out in Maui since I've gotten here a month ago. So bizarre. The place I went to was called Casanova in Makawao and they had a salsa band performing live. They were reaaaallly good. Seriously, I was way impressed...they sounded like a recording they were so good. Anyways I  went with the guy I met and flaked on the other day, totally shouldn't have because I am "the new girl in town" and "fresh meat" so he tried to claim me at the bar in front of locals, etc. HAH, talk about a bad move for him. Whatever. Point of my story is that last night turned into a competition for two guys who were both trying to get my attention. One was sitting on the left of me and the other on the right. I've never experienced anything like them before.... and this isn't my first time getting hit on...maybe the second time lol? Anyways, It was like a cockfight (all puns intended) with these two guys poking out their chests trying to out-impress me from the other guy's last attempt. Literally, hilarious. I was sitting across from one of the florists and one of the groundskeepers here at the Mill and they both were cracking up hysterically because I couldn't get the guys to stop. Eventually I just ended up excusing myself because I couldn't deal with them. Man, talk about serious persistence. Kudos to you gentlemen, may you get every other young woman in your path because I most certainly am not the one. Besides the gentlemen, I encountered some of the most bizarre bachata dancing I have ever seen. So awkward. Whenever you (reader) see me next, ask me for a demonstration. I just showed Clarissa and she died laughing. Also, the guy I came with was Brasilian and couldn't dance. He kept calling himself a robot. AWKWARD. And then one of the women's friend's I was with had just recently got seperated so she was literally like a thirteen year old girl flailing her arms around without a damn care in the world. Maui is full of crazies. But I had a really good time. It was the perfect place to people watch. I had hit my big bernie before so I was in a serious state. Woke up feeling excellent though. Thank god for B12.

OH! This week should be super exciting. Here's my tentative schedule:
Mon (tomoz): Work...maybe beach after?
Tues: Pool party after work at Clarissa's friend's house
Wed: Pacific Weddings is having their annual party and we're invited! It's by Kapalua at some swanky restaurant w fire pits or something. HYPED. I'm wearing my black strapless dress and nude pumps with red lips. Show UP and show OUT.
Thurs: Day off with Clarissa. We are doing a boudoir photoshoot on black sand beach...still playing with the idea of nude shots, snorkeling at McKenna which has some of the BEST snorkeling on the island, watching Brandi's photoshoot and maybe dinner
Fri: Wedding-day eve
Sat: BIG WEDDING!
Sun: Off

Next Monday is my shoot with Tamara Catz! It's confirmed! WOOHOO. Also, Sylvia agreed to let Clarissa shoot me in the Cane House at the Mill! I think that might be boudoir too but probs lots of lace. We gathered some "inspiration" photos and they're pretty sweet. Really classy and tasteful stuff. I'm SO excited. Step yo' sext game up. LOL (just kidding...but not really).

With warmest aloha,
MJ
